Foster Parent College Pre-service Training

Foster Parent College pre-service training helps prepare foster parents to make an informed decision about becoming a foster parent and helps participants decide if their expectations and abilities match the realities of fostering and adopting. The training will help foster parents learn how to navigate the child welfare system, the importance of shared parenting, and behavioral management skills. Foster parent pre-service training consists of 11 online courses that can be completed in the comfort of your own home and 15 hours of in-class instruction. These classes will be conducted over a course of four weeks. VisionQuest trainers are qualified and motivated to teach. They have extensive training experience and combine their knowledge of Child and Family needs with real-world teaching and learning situations to deliver relevant, fun and interactive training. All trainers are certified to facilitate the Foster Parent College curriculum
