The VisionQuest Standing Timbers Academy is a residential program serving boys who require emergency shelter services and/or short term residential services. The program located near Gouldsboro is designed for young men from North Eastern Pennsylvania who generally have histories of adjustment problems in relation to family, school, and peer groups. The program will help county agencies develop permanent placements for these children. Permanent placement includes returning the youth to his or her home, arranging for a suitable therapeutic placement or preparing a child to live independently back in his or her community. The program embraces the BARJ (Balance and Restorative Justice) concepts and provides opportunities for community service and restitution.
