Lee Preparatory Academy is a residential program designed to help older adolescent males who have been involved with the juvenile justice system to overcome obstacles and prepare for successful adult living. The Lee Prep program is formulated around the principles of the Balanced Approach to Restorative Justice (BARJ), with a strong emphasis on promoting competency development in the areas of academic achievement, vocational training, pro-social behavioral skills, moral reasoning, and practical life skills. The program incorporates a number of proven, evidence-based modalities including Aggression Replacement Training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the Casey Life Skills. Located on large campus near Meadville in Crawford County, the program accepts young men ages 17-20 placed by juvenile justice and child welfare agencies from throughout Pennsylvania.
