HomeQuest

The HomeQuest program monitors and supports at-risk young people to be successful and remain crime-free while living at home. HomeQuest services are available in Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties.

HomeQuest offers a range of interventions designed to prevent acts of delinquency and self-destructive behavior. Along with monitoring the youth, the staff also assist parents to develop skills to more effectively manage their child. HomeQuest services include:

  • Therapeutic family counseling, casework and advocacy that builds on strengths to improve youth and family functioning;
  • Tracking and supervision to monitor youth’s behavior and accountability in the community;
  • Supervised community service, recreational activities and peer group sessions designed to promote behavioral health, social responsibility, positive self-management and life skills development;
  • Substance abuse screening and counseling;
  • Support for success in education and employment;
  • Facilitation in obtaining needed community resources; and
  • Crisis intervention to help the youth and family effectively deal with problems and temporary setbacks when they arise.

Youth can be placed immediately, following a screening interview. Length of placement is flexible based on the needs of the youth and the referring agency.

In Philadelphia, the HomeQuest office is located at 301 E. Chelten Avenue in northwest Philadelphia. At that location, additional services include:

Reintegration - specialized support services for Philadelphia youth and their families during and after the youth is in placement at a VisionQuest residential program.

In-Home Detention - short-term, intensive supervision and supportive services for youth ages 12 to 18 as an alternative to detention. This program services adjudicated youth awaiting sentencing and non-adjudicated youth awaiting disposition.
